Dana Crawford
Historic Preservationist
1930 -
INDUCTED 1996
Dana Crawford is a visionary, a historic preservationist and developer who has transformed the face of downtown Denver like no other.
Fifty years ago, she rescued a block of Denver's skid row and created the popular shopping and dining destination -- Larimer Square. Later, she helped revitalize the once forlorn Oxford Hotel. More recently, she led the team that redeveloped Denver’s historic Union Station — the Crawford Hotel that bears her name, Coors Field, various lofts and office complexes.
A group of historic preservation organizations established the Dana Crawford Award for Outstanding Achievement in Historic Preservation. Crawford is a founding member of Historic Denver, Inc., as well as Lower Downtown District, Inc. danacrawford.net
