Danby Gate

Danby Gate was completed in 1632. The original entrance to the Botanic Garden. At the very top of the gate is sits the bust of Sir Henry Danvers, the founder of the Botanic Garden.
In 2018, Danby Gate underwent some conservation work, restoring it to its former glory.
Originally closed by a huge, wooden door, today a pair of iron gates are in place.
