"It represents a dance scene in the popular nightclub in Montmartre, Le Moulin de la Galette.
This painting was made by Ramon Casas (Barcelona, 1866-1932) in 1891 during his third stay in Paris. It is an oil painting made with just a few colors –principally grey and black tones - that wants to offer a sad vision of one of the entertainment halls in Montmartre at the end of the 19th century.
The painting was considered by experts as one of the fundamental works of Casas long career."
