Danda kunda (Mortar & Pestle)

While the danda is most often made from different types of wood varying only in their techniques, the kunda is made from different materials. This terracotta kunda was made by a local potter. Chips of stone were inlaid at the bottom of the kunda to prevent it from cracking or breaking while crushing spices.
