Daniel Toroitch Arap Moi

Daniel Toroitch Arap Moi, popularly known to Kenyans as “Nyayo”, a Kiswahili word for “footsteps”, a word he himself was often heard saying - that he was following in the footsteps of the first President, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. Moi became the country’s second President in 1978 following the death of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. Kenya's renowned photojournalist Mohamed Amin, also known as 'Six Camera Mo' captured some of Africa's defining moments and photographed almost every African leader in the 20th century.
