Musei Civici di Palazzo Farnese
Piacenza , Italy

David is represented as a young boy, dressed in a fur, a rich head covering, the sword resting on his right shoulder and the enormous Goliath’s head in his left hand. A broad and rich red curtain covers the architecture at the back, enlightening the painting with color. There are strong resemblances to David with Goliath’s head by Caravaggio.
