A portion of the rugged rim of Occator Crater is seen in this image from NASA's Dawn spacecraft. Occator, a young crater approximately 80 million years old, is home to the brightest area on Ceres (not pictured here).

Bright streaks are visible along some of the crater's walls, along with prominent fractures on the crater floor.

Dawn took this image on April 21, 2016, from its low-altitude mapping orbit, at a distance of about 240 miles (385 kilometers) above the surface. The image resolution is 120 feet (35 meters) per pixel.
