"My mother died when I was three years old, but God gave me a wonderful country grandmother who spent quality time teaching me to use a needle and thread. I darned my first sock at age four; learned to use a treadle sewing machine at age seven; started my first quilt top when a young teenager."

-Nancy Ann Sobel

Dawn Splendor is the first quilt in Nancy’s second series of quilts that depicts different times of day. It’s inspired by early morning walks, viewing the soft grayed colors and watching spiders spinning their webs.
