- Details: WOOL – Covilhã Urban Art Festival, that merged in 2011 in Covilhã, for various reasons beyond our control, didn’t get more support or funding for a second edition, so obviously we searched for other geographies, new projects and new formats. The first place that welcome us was LXFactory in Lisbon (as Rua Rodrigues Faria, 103 – www.lxfactory.com), undeniably the most creative and artistic center of the capital, which was installed in an old flourmill and later printer industry, a place filled with old and gray facades. The first edition of the activities baptized as WOOL ON TOUR occurred in may 2012 and the format designed was to challenge a group pf artists from different backgrounds and professional experiences, to work side by side for a week, sharing a whole variety of practices and techniques. This is a piece full of color and characters, with talk baloons and narrative rectangles, a piece full of cartoon spirit is just half piece, of a seri of 2, made in Lisbon , almost at the same time.
- Biography: My name is Pedro Campiche (AKACORLEONE), i belong to the amazing ´85 generation and i´m an illustrator and graphic designer originally from Lisboa, Portugal, but currently living and working in Caldas da Rainha, a cool town near Lisbon, after a year living in Barcelona, Spain. Oh no, is he another designer with a graffiti influence? that´s right, painting walls and running from dogs also gave me the addiction to typography, color, painting, drawing all day, planning things in advance, and mostly it gave me a chance to express myself without boundaries, something i try to apply to may daily life and work. In this epic struggle to become a full-time illustrator i´m always divided between my love for vectors and my absolute passion for markers, ink, watercolours, moleskines doodling and screen printing, so i try to incorporate both digital and handmade elements in my work! Besides being obsessed with everything visual, i´m a sneaker head, a toy collector, a bike rider, a graffiti lover, a travelling addicted, awesome chef, comic enthusiast, movie buff, Polaroid fan, fun lovin´ criminal and ping pong champion wannabe...
