Lepaon was Principal Painter in Ordinary to the Prince of Condé. This drawing is a sketch from a painting of a hunt at Chantilly during the festivities hosted by the Prince of Condé for the Count of the North, the future Tsar Paul 1st. The painting was sent to Russia in 1785 and is in Saint Petersburg, and a copy is in the Condé Museum
