"Aaron’s death is one of the scenes of the cycle devoted to the life of this personality of the Old Testament that decorates the music hall of Can Llopis, current Romantic Museum of Sitges. The author of the paintings was Pau Rigalt (Barcelona, 1778 – 1845), trained in the Noble Arts School in Barcelona, that during the French War worked in Vilanova i La Geltrú environment, where he was settled. His artistic production has an important neoclassical character influenced by A. Rafael Mengs and Josep Flaugier.

The scene, a free interpretation of Aaron’s death passage, represents the moment that Aaron, naked, without clothing, lies death on the floor while his brother Moses invests Aaron’s son, Eleazar, as a high priest."
