This is a box decorated with painted ox horn sheets. The body is constructed using delicate miter joints, and the corners of the lid are reinforced with corner wrappers. Mythical creatures are depicted inside thin ox bone frames across the box, and the edges are finished with hawksbill shells. This is an opulent, yet stately box.
