Ostrich egg open at the top and decorated with plant motifs in red. These eggs have a clear Carthaginian influence and are found all over the Mediterranean. Their appearance is connected with the idea of fertility, the principle of life and of resurrection, with clear religious symbolism, so they are generally found in tombs.
