This incipit page displays the VD monogram of the prayer beginning Vere dignum (It is fitting and just) at the bottom of the page. the Lamb of God stands in a medallion inside a cross uniting the letters. Rectangular protrusions marking each side of the page frame four figures, personifications of the four cardinal virtues: Temperance pouring from a flask, Prudence holding a serpent, Fortitude in armor, and Justice with a pair of scales.
