Derius and His Kite

Painter, sculptor, designer, and architect, Bernson lived his entire life in Canadian, Texas. He studied at West Texas State College under Isabel Robinson, the Palo Duro School of Art, the Cranbrook Academy, the Farnsworth School of Art, and with Hilton Leech. Bernson also designed sets and was a commercial artist for International and General Electric.
