Derwent College and Heslington Hall, University of York, Heslington, York

The designed landscape at the University of York was laid out between 1963 and 1980. It fulfills the architects' vision of creating a town in miniature with a pedestrianised environment. A key feature is a lake a the heart of the campus, which includes reed beds and lily pads to improve water purity.
