Józef Jundziłł (1794–1877) was a botanist, professor, and Head of the Science Department and Botanical Garden of Vilnius University. He studied the flora of the territories surrounding Vilnius and organised an expedition to study the nature of southern and western Lithuania in 1821. He composed the botanical work Description of Wild and Domesticated Plants in Lithuania, Volhynia, Podolia, and Ukraine that was printed by Józef Zawadzki’s printing house in 1830. The title page is marked with the seal of the Library of the Telšiai Priest Seminary from 1927.
