After guests emerge from the Pearl, they are at the ground level of the Pavilion, and walk out into the Atrium, where they experience the Calatrava design in full and meet our Dreamers Who Do. Our stories are presented on eight multi-faceted, angular media structures, inspired by the Desert Rose, that will play 18 documentary-style short films about our Dreamers Who Do. Each film is 40 seconds long and strictly visual to ensure guests of all languages can digest the stories. The films were directed by Dubai based British director Ted Beagles, and 16 of the 18 films were shot during the pandemic. The films depict Dreamers and scenes across Abu Dhabi (and Al Ain), Dubai, RAK and Sharjah, and the 18 films capture 22 total individuals, with an equal resident-Emirati and gender splits.
Every film is preceded by a beautiful artistic animation sequence and the Roses are synchronized so all eight feature animation at the same time, turning the Roses into an art gallery for a few seconds every minute.
You are all set!
