Bookplate design engraved in black featuring a fan of the cabriolet type. A banderole or ribbon with the text "Colonial Dames of America" appears in all capital letters across the bottom center, and "E Libris" appears at the center left. Another smaller ribbon appears along the top portion of the fan with the word "Colere" on the left and "Coloniarum Gloriam" on the right in all capitals, separated in the center by a medallion with a standing woman inside. Buildings appear on the left and right upper portions of the fan. The fan is also decorated with various leaves and plants.
