A design for a screen showing three deer amongst oak trees beside a stream. The motifs of deer and oak trees symbolise wishes for high rank and wealth. This and 56.50.1 are detailed, reduced-size sketches recording the appearance of a pair of screens that the president of Mitsubishi commissioned Katei to produce for an exhibition in Kyoto in 1895. Sadly, the whereabouts of the completed screens is unknown.
