Design for a Tureen

The body is banded by an arabesque frieze with lions and a medallion portrait in the center. The handles are formed by paired snakes issuing from a bound cluster of leaves. The finial is banded by a frieze of arabesques, vases, half-fish, half-swans, and masks, and rests on animals' feet. Lower right (in red ink): "No 4 [?]" (cut off)
