In the foreground, one of the divisions of the Gallery trelliswork framing, hung with wooden bells, and surmounted by a section containing an ornamental rectangular painted glass panel. Standards with hanging lanterns on either side. In perspective, at left, the west side of the Gallery is visible. With mantelpiece and niches to left and right containing cabinets on which stand plaster Chinese figures in costume. Staircase in background.
