This drawing depicts a cabinet in the Louis XVI style ornately decorated with gilt-bronze mounts. The center panel consists of an oval medallion featuring a relief of the young Bacchus holding a thyrsus; he is supported by a standing Maenad (Bacchante) while he rides astride the back of a young satyr. Garlands, laurel leaves, herms, brackets and cartouches symmetrically decorate the cabinet.
