Design: Vignelli exhibition poster, Saint Petersburg (then Leningrad), Russia

Poster for the "Design: Vignelli" traveling exhibition. Lella Vignelli and Massimo Vignelli designed, curated, and toured this exhibition of their work titled "Design: Vignelli" from 1989-1993. The exhibition made stops in nine countries: Russia, Finland, England, Hungary, Spain, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, and France. They also wrote and designed the monograph "design: Vignelli" (Rizzoli, 1990) which serves as an exhibition catalog, as well as an overview of their work through 1990. The exhibition made two stops in Russia hosted by the Academy of the Arts of the USSR. It was on view in Moscow at the Russian Academy of Arts from June 12 to August 13, 1989 and in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad) at the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Fine Arts, Sculpture and Architecture from September 14th to October 15th, 1989.
