This oak desk belonged to Maggie Walker and was used in her office within the St. Luke Hall, headquarters for the Independent Order Of St. Luke. By the late 1920s when Walker was sufferined from diabetes, she customized the desk, cutting out a semicircle to accommodate her wheelchair.
