Destruction of the Alexandra Palace

Print showing the destruction of the first Alexandra Palace, which burned down only 16 days after opening. People can be seen saving the artwork on display. Important tapestries and paintings were rescued, however a loan collection of porcelain was destroyed. Surviving pieces are now housed at the V&A.
