Musée de l'Armée - Hôtel des Invalides
Paris, France

This bronze cannon was created in 1533 in Algiers
It is decorated with fleurs-de-lis on the first reinforce and on the barrage. A monster's head also decorated the barrage, at the muzzle. A cartridge with Arabic inscriptions is found on the technical reinforce. These inscriptions translate as, "Amongst the ordered execution, the flawless and virtuous Emir ..., Amir Muhammad Hasan, may God bring glory to him, in Algiers, in the first ten days of the revered Ramadan in 997 (Referring to July 1589)."
