A versatile and accomplished artist, Bloch was a printmaker, photographer, sculptor, and muralist. She apprenticed with Diego Rivera and formed a lifelong friendship with him and his wife Frida Kahlo. Bloch visited the couple in Detroit and made a number of lithographs during her time there. She also captured the only surviving photograph of Rivera’s censored Rockefeller Center murals, "Man at the Crossroads."
