deungga and heonga

In both, bak (a wooden clapper), pyeonjong (a bronze bell set), pyeonkyeong (a stone chime set), banghyang (an iron chime set), chuk (a wooden box with beater), eo (a tiger-shaped scraper), piri (a bamboo oboe), daegeum (a large transverse flute), and haegeum (a two-string fiddle) are commonly included. In the deungga, ajaeng (a bowed zither) is added. Further difference can be seen in the use of jeolgo (a small barrel drum) in the deungga and jingo (a large barrel drum) in the heonga. Also, the taepyeongso (a conical oboe) is used in the heonga; among all the court music genres, Jongmyo jeryeak is the only one that includes this instrument.
