Holi is a popular, traditional Hindu festival. In Odisha, it is celebrated as Dola Purnima, a festival devoted to Lord Jagannath. Idols of Lord Govinda and Goddess Sridevi are placed on the dola bedi and the palanquin is taken on a procession. A crowd of devotees joins in, playing with colours, dancing and celebrating along the way.
