Marble table of William I

Commissioned by King William I, Lieutenant Colonel Jean Emile Humbert had a table made in Livorno, Italy, for 350 guilders in 1828 after an example he had seen in Florence. The round tabletop consists of the famous white Carrara marble that is inlaid with 151 different pieces of natural stone. The proud monogram of King William I can be seen in the middle.
