The diadem consists of a rigid support in the form of two narrow strips of gold folded along their length to form a channel, decorated on the upper and lower edges with an astragal motif. The two parts were joined by a central hinge. The floral decoration, executed à jour, consists of groups of flowers, berries and leaves, grouped in bunches and enriched with vitreous paste, small coloured stones and enamels. The diadem was fastened behind the head by means of ribbons inserted into two rings soldered to the edges of the metal sheets.
