These are the sixth and seventh volumes of the Diaries of the Office of Eunuch Attendants. During the Japanese Occupation, these diaries were recorded by the Annals Compilation Committee of the Office of the Yi Dynasty to keep track of court events, focusing on the king’s movements. They are presumed to have been collected for a purpose of compiling the Annals of King Gojong. Along with the first to fifth volumes, housed at the Academy of Korean Studies, the National Palace Museum's these two volumes complete a full set of seven volumes. The diaries provide precious data revealing the movements of the emperor during the transitional period of the Korean Empire. Illustrations were also inserted if appropriate occasions arose.
