This was my first experiment in using Stop Motion animation. The script was derived from creative writing I did in a collaborative BALTIC workshop. The visuals were created with items I found around my home. I really enjoyed using my watercolour paints, a material I normally use for 2D work, and being able to record the beautiful process of painting in my animation.
This piece was made at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art as part of Arts Council England's The Way I See It project which captures the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the lives of children and young people, articulated in their own voices, through their own creativity.
BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead creates and produce exhibitions, events and learning opportunities that explore the role of art and artists, and the world around us.
