313 Welcombe Avenue was the 4,000th house to be constructed by John Laing and Son Ltd in Swindon. Three-quarters of these houses were constructed using the Easiform system and the remainder were mostly traditional in design. Easiform was a method of in situ precast concrete construction which Laing developed from 1919 onwards.
