This painting includes a number of smaller scenes within it that can be discovered over time. There is a beehive in the foreground partially covered by foliage, a cabin that can only just be seen way off in the distance, a cat attempting to fish from the end of a kayak, and the smoke of a campfire swirling upwards. Each scene alludes to dining in some way, referring to the function of the room it is in.
