The work of Augsburg’s goldsmiths was highly coveted throughout Europe well into the 19th century. This large dinner set in a travel case is a perfect example of its kind. The wonderfully preserved leather case contains high-quality items of a dinner set, from pots and salt shakers through to scissors and bellows. The unusual combination of precious metal and agate, in particular, make the set from the workshop of Tobias Baur a valuable one-of-a-kind.
