Toronto, Canada

A large Urbino Incendio Istoriato dish painted by Guide Durantino with Aeneas leaving burning Troy with Anchises on his shoulder and Ascanius at his feet. In the centre, washing his hands in the Scamander whilst, his father stands holding their household god, (Lares et Penates) a river god reclining nude at the source. There is a temple hidden in the trees to the left, and there are buildings in the distant landscape beyond. The reverse is in blue.
