The local markets or haats are places where the Shola artists sell their products, especially the ones used for local rituals and festivals. The local haats are adorned with colourful products just before the festival of Manasa Puja in the monsoon months, as worshipping of Manasa remains incomplete without the ritualistic Shola products such as Boa, Manasar Chali.
