DiwaliSA originally started in 2009 to celebrate the Sister-City relationship between San Antonio and Chennai, India. This unique and unforgettable experience is a single-evening event that features traditional Indian dance, entertainment, as well as food and merchant booths from various parts of India. Authentic Indian attire, exquisite Indian dishes, and dances from all over India can be found at this event that culminates in a ceremonial lighting of candles that float the River Walk. The event concludes with a spectacular display of fireworks.
