Park Sungjin presents a video work of footage shot in spaces with high military tension, such as the DMZ and GP. The DMZ is the forefront of the Republic of Korea and a place where things should never be loose. The artist captures the very atmosphere in the time and place without any filter. He has sensed that in 2019, the relations between the North and South have changed and improved, and records in his work the changing stances of individuals following upon the changes in the political situation of the peninsula.

He is focused on creating images that are inspired by the present state of things and lead them to think once again of their essence. The artist has shown interest in the DMZ and its surroundings as a result of his participation in REAL DMZ PROJECT in 2013. Particularly his interest is in the DMZ as a political and military space, and the DMZ as nature and its surrounding space. Thanks to this thematic consciousness, Park regards communication with the locals as important. Through his communications, he found that people living in a space with high tension live a more peaceful life. The work of capturing this image has continued steadily in the vicinity of the DMZ in Cheorwon.
