Sure, you might be tired from the night before, but it's worth getting up to partake in the big music conference
that is South by Southwest. Each day, we'll list the panel discussions and speeches that sound most promising.
All panels at the Austin Convention Center unless noted. Wednesday's offerings:

Wednesday might be the most industry-focused panel day. There are demo listening sessions at 1:30 and 3
p.m. in Room 19A. There are crash courses in management at noon, legal matters at 1 p.m., merchandising
at 2 p.m., recording at 3p.m. and press and publicity at 4 p.m., all in room 17AB.

department at Tulane University. Dunn is the author of 'Brutality Garden: Tropicalia and the Emergence of a
Brazilian Counterculture' (UNC Press, 2001). The interview takes place at 4:30 p.m. in room 18ABC.
MTV Networks executive vice president Bill Flanagan's keynote conversation with Who guitarist Pete
Townshend takes place at 6:30 p.m. at the Hilton Grand Ballroom.
