Braz pop to Lowell.

BAND This Brazilian superstar,
whose "Quanta Live" won the Gram-
my this year for best world music
recording, brings his country's con-
temporary pop to Lowell. Gil's music
draws from an array of sources in-
cluding bossa nova, samba, classical,
R&B, reggae, and other South Amer-
ican, Caribbean, and African musical
styles.
