The hit television series "Charlie's Angels" first aired in 1976, bringing into Americans' living rooms the scantily dressed, unbelievably coiffed trio of private detectives--and a weekly dose of "T & A" too. Farrah Fawcett, Kate Jackson, and Jaclyn Smith starred in the show the first year. Fawcett left the show after one season to pursue a movie career. She was replaced by a new angel played by Cheyl Ladd. The show remained popular for several years and generated "Charlie's Angels" posters, mugs, lunch boxes, key chains, and all manner of consumer goods.
