The hit television series "Charlie's Angels" first aired in 1976, bringing into Americans' living rooms the scantily dressed, unbelievably coiffed trio of private detectives--and a weekly dose of "T & A" too. Farrah Fawcett starred as Jill during the first year, and soon her face--more importantly, her figure--adorned posters, mugs, lunch boxes, key chains, and all manner of consumer goods. Fawcett left the show after the first season to pursue a movie career. She never really succeeded in the movies but, for a time, her face and figure adorned many a male adolescent's wall. Young girls of the 1970s wanted Farrah's hair and this doll could help them pretend to have Farrah's looks and exciting life.
