Doll:Hospital Doll

In addition to the play dolls Martha Chase made, her company produced "hospital dolls" or "sanitary dolls" used to teach mothers and young girls to handle, feed, bathe, diaper, and clothe babies. These dolls came in four sizes from newborn infant to four year old, each with the appropriate height and weight of the child it depicted. Hospitals, schools, and clinics throughout the world used these models to train nurses and medical personnel.
