Available in 1970 from toy maker Remco, Jumpsy, a rope skipping doll, came with either a light or dark complexion. The two C batteries in her back enabled the doll to hop a bit and skip over the rope when her arms were lowered. Jumpsy was one of many innovative dolls of the 1960s powered by batteries to make life-like movements.
