This LuAnn Sims doll represents a popular cast member of CBS's television series "Arthur Godfrey and His Friends" (1948-1959), a weekly, hour-long variety show. Beginning about 1953, several companies manufactured the LuAnn doll of vinyl and hard plastic, including E. I. Horsman, the Roberta Doll Company, and Valentine. This doll even retains her original shoulder bag.
