This infant doll presents a bit of a puzzle. The body of the doll suggests that it is an Arranbee Nursing Bottle Baby, but the head of the doll indicates something else. The head represents Arranbee's Dream Baby doll with sleep eyes and a treble (fluttering-like tongue). How this head became attached to this body invites us to spectulate: Perhaps at the moment the doll was originally assembled, an Arranbee worker simply grabbed the wrong head, and not realizing the mistake, attached it to the Nursing Bottle Baby body; Or, maybe on the second-hand market, a dealer found the doll body attached to a damaged Nursing Bottle Baby head. Because the head is made of bisque, which requires some care to avoid breakage, it is a plausible scenario. Finding a Dream Baby head attached to a damaged body inspired the dealer to marry the undamdaged Nursing Bottle Baby body to the Deam Baby head. RAther than having two damaged dolls, one altered doll findsas a new life as a collectible.
