The dolls came with action features such as jointed wrists, moveable waists, molded hands for gripping their sports equipment, and bendable knees to enable action poses. The dolls hit the market shortly after Title IX of the Education Act Amendment opened-up a full range of federally-funded academic-based athletics to girls.
